Baku. Habil Suleimanov – APA. Today the U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza has expressed his attitude to the attack on U.S. and British citizens that occurred a few days ago in Baku, APA reports.
He expressed his regret over the incident. The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan’s law enforcement agencies are investigating that case. Bryza expressed his hope that the attackers will be identified and brought to justice.
Of note, US citizen Amanda Eriksson and British citizen Sylvia Davis were attacked by unknown persons in Baku’s Yasamal District at night from June 15 to 16.
Eriksson appealed to the police administration with complaint that they had been attacked by unknown assailants. The investigation is in progress on the fact.
