Ramil Usubov receives Belgian ambassador to Azerbaijan

Baku-APA. Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov received the ambassador of Kingdom of Belgium to Azerbaijan Luc Trojen. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told APA that the minister congratulated the diplomat on new appointment, expressed hope on the rapid development of Azerbaijan-Belgium relation during his activity. The ambassador was informed about Interior Ministryâ€™s rights and duties, activity direction, as well as criminogenic situation.

Usubov said that the cooperation with Belgian Interior Minstry was conducted within Interpol, informed that Azerbaijani side was interested in establishing of bilateral relations in the future. Touching on the problems, it was underlined that struggle against drug trafficking, international terrorism, human traffic and illegal migration, which are the main types of transnational organized crime, were in the spotlight.

Ambassador Luc Trojen noted that he felt himself very comfortable and dangerous in Azerbaijan. Reminding the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belgium in the fields of economy, politics and etc. the ambassador draw attention that he will do his best towards the development of relations between two countries including the Interior Ministries.
