Constitutional Court Chairman: “Number of appeals and complaints to Azerbaijani Constitutional Court increased”

The complaints are mostly related to the right to property, said Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev, APA reports.

He said 700-800 appeals were sent to the Constitutional Court by the citizens a year. 12 decisions have been passed on the complaints during the last 6 months. Several decisions will be in the next few days: “The number of appeals by the courts to the Constitutional Court has also increased. We are appealed in connection with the application of the law, pending cases, in cases of difficulty in these cases. We give official explanations and the courts use it as the legal source. About 15 such appeals were received a year”.

Abdullayev also reminded that on the recommendation of the Constitutional Court, the parliament made amendments in 8 laws.
