Minister: â€œThe death cases on the sea have decreased to 95-98% since 2005â€

According to the minister, the death cases in the territories controlled by the Life Saving Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have sharply decreased since 2005: â€œThere were no emergency groups of rescuers and divers prior to 2005. The activity of this service gives positive resultsâ€.

Minister Heydarov said that the death cases are recorded mostly outside the beaches and the areas where swimming was prohibited. The minister said that drowning suicides are also included in the statistics of sea death cases. â€œBut we note these facts as the suicideâ€.

Heydarov also warned the citizens to avoid dangerous areas where swimming was prohibited, to observe the security rules, instructions. â€œIt is impossible to control everybody separately. Thatâ€™s why the citizens must be responsible, and avoid the acts which can be dangerous for their lives.

The minister said that some persons didnâ€™t observe the requirements of rescuers and police and underlined that in some cases it caused the tragedy.
