Arrest warrant about former candidate to Azerbaijani parliament issued

According to him, on the base of the information received from Aghdash-Goychay constituency # 89, during the parliamentary elections, held on November 7 of the last year, the Prosecutor General’s Office opened the criminal case in accordance with the fact of the Criminal Code 159.4.1 (Impending in implementation of suffrage; by buying over, cheating, threatening, using violence or threatening to use violence), and 160 (Impending voting commissions in legal activities â€“ 160.2.1. (committed to a payoff, a deceit, threat, application of violence or with threat of its application));

Upon preliminary investigation Vidadi Isgandarovâ€™s guiltiness was proved and on the bases of the upon-mentioned articles of the criminal code he was involved in the investigation as the accused person. The arrest warrant about Vidadi Isgandarov was issued today. The Department for Investigation of Grave Crimes of General Prosecutor’s Office is currently working on the investigation progress. It should be noted, the former candidate to the parliament V. Isgandarov was detained during the unsanctioned rally organized by the Public Chamber in the center of Baku, on April 17, and Nizami district court made a decision on the application against him preventive punishment in the form of detention for 15 days.

V. Isgandarovâ€™s detention term has been expired today.
