Vidadi Isgandarovâ€™s prosecution reinstated

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. Prosecution of lawyer Vidadi Isgandarov, head of the Public Chamberâ€™s investigative group, detained during the unauthorized rally organized by the Public Chamber in the center of Baku April 17, was reinstated, the lawyerâ€™s borther Ogtay Isgandarli told APA. He said his 15-day pre-trial detention ended today, but he was not released. He gave testimony at the Republican Prosecutor Officeâ€™s Grave Crime Investigation Department concerning the previous criminal investigation about him. Vidadi Isgandarli run for the parliament on November 7, 2010 from the Aghdash-Goychay constituency. In the time he faced with charges of forcing the citizens to vote for him, interference in the voting process and theft. But the prosecutorâ€™s office closed the case because lack of evidences. Now the prosecution was reinstated, said his brother.

Vidadi Isgandarli was detained on April 17. Nasimi district court passed decision on his 15-day pre-trial detention.
