Baku City Main Police Office releases report on 2011 first quarter

BCMPO told APA that 2671 criminal incidents were recorded in Baku during reporting period. 2393 of them are were not grave and donâ€™t commit the public threat, 278 were grave and especially grave crimes. Totally the grave crimes decreased for 188 facts (29,8%), robbery â€“ 8 facts (12,7%) theft from apartment â€“ 19 facts (8,6%) knavishnesses -44 facts (23,5%), the suicides and deliberate harm inflicted human health remained stable. The clearing of 72% of total crimes, 68,5 % of grave crimes, including all the suicides, violence, kidnapping, the demands with threats and auto theft was ensured.

192 criminals (35,4%) from 593 were detained as a result of operational measures conducted in the direction of detainment of charged wanted persons, the number of searching measures decreased to 55 in comparison with the last yearâ€™s relevant period, remainder decreased to 9 facts.

The report also says that the protection of public order in the capital was kept under serious control in the first quarter of this year and attempt to hold two illegal actions was prevented.
