Several more persons arrested over armed incident near mosque in Azerbaijanâ€™s Lankaran region

As a result of the operations carried out by Interior Ministryâ€™s Crime Search Department, Department to Combat Organized Crimes, Masalli region police office, Lankaran region police office and Lankaran region prosecutorâ€™s office, Zamin Sadigov, Mammadaga Deyyanov and Khagani Ahadov, who along with Arif Feyzullayev killed Elshan Huseynov, wounded Ramin Agamoglanov and escaped on September 3, were arrested. TOZ-8 and TOZ-34P rifles were seized from the originator of the crime Arif Feyzullayev.

The incident happened in Gumbashi village of Lankaran region at 00.15 on September 3. Gunmen in several cars fired on the people that gathered near Gumbashi village mosque. As a result of the shooting, Elshan Alimammad Huseynov, 41, was killed. Ramin Baloglan Agamoglanov, 25, was wounded. He was taken to the resuscitation department of the Lankaran Central Hospital. Masallli residents Ramil Ilham Humbatov and Emin Bagirov were detained.

Measures are continued to detain other participants of the crime.
