He said some local and foreign media spread false reports that “black transplantation” of human organs was performed in Azerbaijan.
“The initial investigations did not reveal illegal transplantation of human organs and tissues in Azerbaijan,” he said.

According to Najafov, the cooperation with Ukraine in combating crimes is being realized basing on the current normative legal acts coordinated between the CIS and GUAM member states.
“We have not received an appeal from the Ukrainian law-enforcement bodies concerning the matters described in the media. If they appeal, relevant measures will be taken basing on the mutual cooperation. We continue taking measures to reveal the crimes related to human trafficking, including illegal transplantation of human organs and tissues,” he said.

An operation group of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry plans to visit Azerbaijan this week, chief of the Department to Combat Cybercrimes and Human Trafficking Yuri Kucher told APA. He said the group would stay in Azerbaijan for three or four days and carry out investigation together with the local law-enforcement bodies. Touching on the cooperation between the Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies and Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Kucher said the joint investigation into the “black transplantation” had been discussed during the phone talk between the deputy interior ministers of the two countries. The sides exchanged views on the necessary measures for prevention of the crime.
Asked in what Azerbaijani clinics the “black transplantations” were performed, Yuri Kucher said one Azerbaijani clinic was mentioned in the case.
