Names of persons wanted over armed incident in Azerbaijanâ€™s Lankaran region publicized

The region police office told APA that they are Masalli residents Zamin Sadigov, Elvin Mirzayev, Arif Feyzullayev, Orkhan Deyyazov, Sadig Hasanov and Lankaran resident Emin Bashirov. Measures are continued to arrest them.

Interior Ministry has issued a statement on the incident. APA reports quoting the ministryâ€™s website that unidentified gunmen in VAZ-2107 killed Elshan Huseynov and wounded Ramin Agamoglanov in Gumbashi village of Lankaran region at 00.15 on September 3. Agamoglanov was hospitalized. Lankaran region police arrested Masalli residents Emil Bagirov and Ramil Hummatov. Measures are being taken to detain the others.

The incident happened in Gumbashi village of Lankaran region at 00.15 on September 3. Gunmen in several cars fired on the people that gathered near Gumbashi village mosque. As a result of the shooting, Elshan Alimammad Huseynov, 41, was killed. Ramin Baloglan Agamoglanov, 25, was wounded. He was taken to the resuscitation department of the Lankaran Central Hospital. Doctor on duty Telman Khurshidov told APAâ€™s local bureau that Agamoglanov felt better after the medical assistance.

Prosecutor of Lankaran region Ramiz Nabiyev refuted the rumors that the incident happened on religious dispute, he said the fact was being investigated.
â€œThe incident happened near Gumbashi mosque. Personal dispute among a group of Masalli residents caused the incident. The witnesses are being interrogated,â€ he said.
