Organ trade mafia having its victims operated in Azerbaijan exposed

APA reports quoting Ukrainian mass media that chief of the Department to Combat Cybercrimes and Human Trafficking Yuri Kucher said at the press conference held at the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

He said the organized criminal gang included citizens of Ukraine and Israel. The group was headed by the citizen of Israel.

Yuri Kucher said the criminals deceived the citizens of Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, took them to Azerbaijan and Ecuador, performed surgery to take their internals for transplantation. Mostly rich recipients from Israel paid $ 100 000-200 000 for surgery. Doctors received $15 000 -20 000 for a surgery.

Chief of the department said four doctors of Shalimov clinic in Kiev were involved in the criminal actions. The majority of the persons involved through the Internet aged 18-25, they were offered to sell their kidneys for $10,000.

Yuri Kucher said 50 donors were defined, most of them were persons having low income.

Criminal case has been launched on the fact on article of human trafficking. The doctorsâ€™ houses were searched, $200 000 was found in one of the houses.

12 citizens of Ukraine have been detained in connection with the fact. There are citizens of other countries among them.
