Shaki region resident Khagani Jabbarov, 31, was killed by his fellow countryman Arif Mammadov, 25 in Garachukhur settlement.
The investigation found out that it was an honor crime. Khagani Jabbarov took a woman having two children from Shaki to Baku. They rented a house in Garachukhur settlement. As soon as the woman’s brother Arif Mammadov knew that his sister came to Baku with Khagani Jabbarov, he came to Baku to kill them. Arif Mammadov knifed Khagani Jabbarov to death. The woman fled together with her children. Police detained Arif Mammadov, he admitted his guilt and said he intended to kill his sister.
Surakhany district prosecutor’s office has launched criminal case on the fact, investigation is underway.
