Non-existence of relevant agreements between some OIC countries creates problems in crime control, the minister says

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Law enforcement officials of the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference held their third session on legal assistance, extradition, combating the money laundering and anti-corruption measures within the conference in Baku. The session was led by Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Fikrat Mammadov, APA reports. The minister said Azerbaijan joined the UN and European relevant conventions and became an active participant of the international organizations. Mammadov said civil society played an important role in the establishing of common intolerance among the public community against the corruption. The minister noted that Azerbaijan signed treaties and agreements and is working together with other OIC countries in the fields of legal assistance, extradition of criminals, information exchange. He said draft agreements between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Algeria were ready for signature. Mammadov said non-existence of relevant agreements between some OIC countries created problems in crime control.
Head of the Livian delegation Mustafa Mohammad Abdul Jalil said the OIC countries needed in implementation of Islamic laws for prevention of crimes and terrorism. “The Muslim countries will establish peace and stability, if they implement the Islamic laws. Unfortunately there are still problems in the implementation of Islam in the legislative systems. In fact we must be ruled with Allah’s laws”.
Representatives of Sudan, Jordan and other countries also delivered speeches at the event.
