Major General Ashot Zakaryan, Head of the Military Police of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, has submitted a request to be relieved of his post, the Hraparak newspaper reports.
The resignation is reported to have come amid the situation surrounding the recent deaths of servicemen in the Armenian army. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, while speaking earlier about the latest death in the army, announced that there would be changes in the Military Police.
