Baku – APA. “The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will not prevent Armenia's accession to the Customs Union”. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said this in his statement to reporters after the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS. He said Armenia is joining the Customs Union as Armenia, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has nothing to do with it: “The Armenian president has also said this many times”.
Sergei Lavrov noted that the most difficult issues to resolve the conflict have not yet been settled. He said Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
