Mahmud Mammadguliyev: Some progress has been made in visa facilitation talks between Azerbaijan and the European Union

“We can not say that all the issues have been discussed and the sides have reached a mutual understanding, but there is some progress on certain issues. The next meeting will be likely held in Brussels next year,” he said.

The last round of talks between Azerbaijan and the European Union on visa facilitation and readmission was held in Baku on November 6-7.

As regards the association agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU, Deputy Minister said the sides were continuing video conferences on the issue.

Mahmud Mammadguliyev also touched on the talks on Azerbaijan’s admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO). He said the 10th meeting of working group on Azerbaijan’s admission to WTO will be held in Geneva on December 7.

“Agreement has been reached to hold multilateral talks on agriculture, a number of countries expressed their wish to hold bilateral talks,” he said.
