The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the strike by naval drones on the tankers of the Russian "shadow fleet" "Louise 1" and "Banda" in the Black Sea, UNN reports.

The Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Naval Forces, struck the tankers "Louise 1" and "Banda" in the Black Sea, which are part of the Russian "shadow fleet." The vessels, which are under Ukrainian sanctions, were targeted by SBU naval drones "Mamai,"- the SBU reported.

The tanker "Louise 1," as noted, was involved in transporting Russian crude oil during the oil embargo imposed by the G7 and EU countries. The vessel exported products from Russian ports in the Baltic and Black Seas, turning off the automatic identification system. In 2026 alone, it transported nearly 3 million tons of Russian Urals crude oil.

The tanker "Banda" also transported Russian crude oil from the ports of Ust-Luga, Kerch, Novorossiysk, and Nakhodka.

"During the attack by SBU naval drones, enemy aviation tried to engage them: firing machine guns and dropping bombs, but to no avail," the statement reads.

"Striking the vessels of the 'shadow fleet' is a systematic way of depriving the Kremlin of money for the war. These very tankers, despite international sanctions, transport Russian oil and fill the budget of the aggressor state with billions of dollars. Therefore, every strike on the 'shadow fleet' is a direct blow to Russia's ability to continue its aggression. And each such vessel, as an element of Russia's war machine, is a legitimate target," the SBU emphasized.

The SBU noted that last week, the SBU naval drone Sea Baby targeted the sanctioned tanker "Blue" in Ukraine's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea.
