Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. “I’m confident that the French President’s first visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to developing relations between the two countries”, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the opening ceremony of the French Lyceum in Baku, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the two countries have close ties and this official visit reconfirms this: “We are constantly exchanging views on various topics and cooperating within international organizations. The high level of our political relations also affects all other areas. Tomorrow a business forum will be held to give an impetus to economic relations. A large delegation of businessmen arrived in Azerbaijan from France, I believe in the further expansion of trade ties”, said President Aliyev.
The Head of State also noted that the relations between the two countries in the humanitarian sphere are developing.
According to the President, hundreds of young Azerbaijanis are studying in France: “The fact that you have started the visit from the lyceum shows that you also attach great importance to education. I believe that the young people, who will receive education in the lyceum, will develop bilateral relations. French children will study here in their mother tongue, they will be linked to their motherland, while Azerbaijani children will perfectly master the French language.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that the world culture can not be imagined without France: “This educational institution will educate young people in the spirit of mutual respect. This lyceum will become the center of France-Azerbaijan friendship. The Azerbaijani Cultural Center was opened in Paris. The lyceum opened in Baku will be the second part of France after the French Embassy”.
The Head of State noted that “Parisian block is being constructed in the White City: “I’m confident that the French President’s visit to Azerbaijan will be successful".
