Azerbaijani President: â€œJoint projects that we were implementing within the region have already become global projectsâ€

Tbilisi. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. “Today’s summit is politically and economically important,” said Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili in Tbilisi Summit 2014 attended by the Azerbaijani and Turkish Presidents, APA’s correspondent reports from Georgia. Margvelashvili told that Georgia has close relations with both Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the three countries had always been making joint efforts: “Today, the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey trilateral cooperation is of great importance not only for these countries, but also for the region and world. Our cooperation is based on common interests. Joint projects that we were implementing within the region have already become global projects. This summit and the issues to be discussed are of great importance. We will exchange views on the cooperation in regional security, energy security, transport and humanitarian fields. We will discuss a joint action plan.”

Abdulla Gul stated that Turkey is satisfied with this partnership and unity: “We are sharing the same position on issues that we are discussing now and it satisfies us. These three countries will carry out important joint projects.”
