Baku – APA. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his landslide victory in the presidential election, APA reports.
The letter of congratulations says:
“Dear Mr Prime Minister, dear brother. I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of your landslide victory in the first direct presidential election in the history of Turkey. There is no doubt that this election will be the beginning of a new era in the history of Turkey. I would like to note with satisfaction that demonstrating a comprehensive development over the past decade, Turkey has become a center of power in the international community. The cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey reached the level of strong friendship and brotherhood, strategic partnership and alliance in this period. Our bilateral and multilateral cooperation, major projects we have implemented through joint efforts, namely Baku-Tbilis-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway that is under construction and new TANAP and other projects increase the importance of our countries as well as the region in the world and serve for peace, cooperation and development in the region. I am confident that friendly and brotherly relations between the two states will further develop successfully.”
President Ilham Aliyev invited Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Azerbaijan at a convenient time.
