Baku – APA. Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva has today visited Temple of Literature in Hanoi, APA reports.
The first lady was informed that the foundation of the temple was laid by King Ly Nhan Tong in 1070.
The temple was dedicated to Confucius. In 1076, Vietnam's first university, Imperial Academy, was established within the temple to educate Vietnam's bureaucrats, nobles, royalty and other members of the elite.
Afterwards, the first lady was presented with a keepsake.
A dinner was hosted on behalf of spouse of Vietnam’s President Mrs. Mai Thi Hahn in honor of Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
