“I don’t believe that someone can offer Israel to participate in the Minsk Group. However if there is such a proposal, we will consider it. And it also depends on the source of the proposal”, the Minister said.
As for the opening of the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan, Lieberman said that it will be decided by Baku: “We will be always happy about this, but this decision depends on the Azerbaijani government. Though there is no Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan, the two countries have high-level relations. Today, a number of companies, including Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce are operating to further improve relations”.
Asked about Iran-Azerbaijan relations, the Lieberman stressed that Israel doesn’t interfere in internal affairs of other states: “Every country has its own interests and neighbors.”
