In 2011, Jutta Bauer visited the occupied territories through Armenia without Azerbaijan’s consent, the ministry’s press service told APA.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Austria has already issued a statement on the matter.
Though the journalist linked the visa refusal to her critical articles, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Austria denied it.
“Jutta Bauer was blacklisted after her visit to occupied territories of Azerbaijan without the permission of official Baku. The journalist can obtain a visa only after she officially apologizes to Azerbaijan.
The Austrian Foreign Ministry stated that this is a matter under the authority of Azerbaijan and regulated by the legislation of the country.
