Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. The Azerbaijani embassy in the US focuses on the criminal case on Teymur Huseynli’s murder in this country. Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev told APA that when the embassy received information on the murder of Azerbaijani citizen Teymur Huseynli, 31, in Darien (Illinois), the embassy immediately kept contact with the deceased’s relatives in Chicago, Azerbaijani Diaspora in the State of Illinois and Darien city Police Department. Besides it, a representative of the embassy was sent to Illinois. According to Elman Abdullayev, at present, the US agencies are investigating the fact, but they don’t give information about the process.
The victim was not registered at the consular department of the embassy. Teymur Huseynli was stabbed to death on the night of 17-18 November. According to “Chicago Tribune” newspaper, Jozeph Spitalli, suspected of the murder, has been detained. According to his preliminary testimony, he committed murder, because of jealousness.
