A meeting has been held with the participation of the representatives of the 5 Caspian littoral countries in Aktau, Kazakhstan, on November 15, said Iran's Port and Maritime Organization Mohsen Sadeqifar APA reports quoting IRIB. The delegations from Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan attended the meeting.
The sides exchanged views on ensuring security in the Caspian Sea, development of maritime transport, the negative impact of maritime transport on the environment, the development of zones of navigation and modernization of ports. At the same time, the Memorandum on ship repair and providing various technical services at the ports and exchange of information has been signed at the meeting. The next meeting was decided to be held in Baku in 2013.
