Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. “Productive cooperation has been formed, since diplomatic relations were established between Azerbaijan and Belgium,” said Belgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Luc Truyen at the reception organized by the embassy on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the relations between the two countries.
The ambassador noted that the two countries have successful history of cooperation and they are ready to develop this cooperation: “Historically, Belgium was one of the main investors in the Caucasus. Our country continues developing with Azerbaijan in commercial sphere. Thus, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belgium increased by 50% in the recent year.”
Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said that business relations and humanitarian cooperation between the countries were developed and mutual tourists’ visits increased. SOCAR opened its office in Brussels this week and it will be one more contribution for enhancing bilateral relations.
