Azerbaijani President receives senior officials of foreign intelligence bodies

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev received senior officials of foreign intelligence bodies, who came to the country to attend the event on the 90th anniversary of National Security Ministry, Presidentâ€™s press service told APA. The head of state noted the role of security agencies in the all-round development of Azerbaijan as an independent country and underlined that national leader Heydar Aliyev played a special role in the formation and development of these agencies. President Ilham Aliyev said ensuring stability and security and combating crimes play important role in the development of every country and all measures will be taken for peaceful living of Azerbaijani people.

Azerbaijani President noted the importance of taking joint serious measures with friendly countries in exchanging information and combating transnational crimes and said terror attacks prove that no country can ensure its security on its own, all countries should make joint efforts. The head of state said Azerbaijan contributed to the international security and highly appreciated the work of the National Security Ministry.

Director of Russian Federal Security service, army General Alexander Bortnikov and Director General of Italian Foreign Intelligence and Security Agency, Vice Admiral Bruno Branciforte also underlined the importance of joint cooperation in combating international terrorism and organized crimes.
