Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli –APA. Police clashed with anti-NATO protesters in Strasbourg on Thursday. APA local bureau reports that a group of 500-600 protesters left their camp and attempted get to the city center. Black-dressed and masked protesters tried to pay tribute to the protester killed in London, carrying banners saying: “Stop repression in London and Strasbourg”. The protesters throw stones toward police, smashed bus shelters and set fire to rubbish bins. Police used tear gas and rubber bullets Bus stops and vehicles were vandalized, shop windows smashed and a barricade put up on one street. Police used tear gas and rubber bullets to stop the demonstrators. Around 100 people were arrested. After that the protests have been extended demanding to release the arrested people. The protests are going on.
