Activist of Movement for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran sentenced to two-year imprisonment

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. Iraj Hasani, one of the activists of Movement for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran has been sentenced to two-year imprisonment, World Azerbaijanis Congress Press Service told APA.
Tabriz Court accused him of violating public order, participating in illegal action and assemblies and demanded four-month imprisonment. The Appeal Court cancelled the decision of first court of instance. Hasan was sentenced to two-year imprisonment.
Hasani was accused of participating in jubilee assemblies protesting publication of caricatures insulting Azerbaijanis in Iran newspaper in 2006.
