Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev meets Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan
The President met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on January 28. The meeting covered successful development of economic and political relations between Azerbaijan and Poland and the sides expressed their satisfaction with the level of economic relations. The sides exchanged views on energy cooperation within the framework of Nabucco project as well.
Ilham Aliyev has also met with Helge Lund, Chief Executive Officer for the StatoilHydro. Lund stated that the cooperation with SOCAR successfully continues within the framework of projects Shahdeniz-1 and Shahdeniz-2. He stressed the necessity of acceleration of measures on project Shahdeniz-2.
Aliyev spoke about the country’s achievements on energy and noted that Azerbaijan played a great role in European energy security and expanded international energy cooperation. Head of State expressed his confidence that the country would expand cooperation with leading companies of the world, including Statoil.
Head of State met Prince Andrew, Duke of York on January 28. The meeting envisaged successful development of economic relations between the two countries and the sides expressed their confidence for expansion of cooperation in this field henceforth.
President Aliyev has also met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Davos. The sides expressed their satisfaction with successful development of fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The meeting says that economic development between the two countries serves to increase welfare of people and bilateral relations contribute to the regional cooperation. The sides stressed an importance of realizing regular visits for the purpose of strengthening relations. Both of sides expressed their confidence for expansion of mutual relations henceforth.
