UN Human Rights Council to discuss Azerbaijanâ€™s proposal

He said Azerbaijan was an initiator of the resolution on Missing people during the armed conflicts adopted in March 2008. â€œThe Consultative Committee decided to prepare report on the missing people during the armed conflicts. I will also join the working group which will prepare the reportâ€.
Huseynov said UN Human Rights Council would hold special discussions on the issue on September 22, 2008. â€œI was invited to the discussions as a representative of the Consultative Committeeâ€.
The member of the committee said there were many problems in Azerbaijan related to this issue and all facts would be reflected in the report. â€œThe Consultative Committee will investigate this issue and all issues related to the missing people and their relativesâ€™ right to get information about them and other issues will be reflected in the reportâ€.
Huseynov said UN would give its recommendations for effective protection of missing peopleâ€™s rights as soon as the report is ready.
