Parliamentâ€™s delegation pays visit to Mexico

Baku â€“ APA. Delegation of Azerbaijani Parliament paid a visit to Mexico, Azerbaijani Embassy to the United Mexican States told APA. The delegation included MPs - Head of the New Azerbaijan Party`s foreign relations, MP Asef Hajiyev, Chairman of Democratic Reforms Party, MP Asim Mollazadeh and Head of Mexican-Azerbaijani friendship group Ulvi Guliyev.

The delegation held meetings with Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of the Mexican Senate TeÃ³filo Torres Corzo, first vice-president of Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies Francisco Arroyo Vieyra, Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Aranda, as well as heads of leading political parties of the country and members of the Congress. The meetings focused on perspectives for extension of relations in political, economic, cultural, education and etc fields. Views were exchanged on the issues of mutual interest. Moreover, informing the other side about Armenian lasting aggression against Azerbaijan, results of the conflict and general threat and danger for regional states created by Armenia, the delegation noted that because of the Armenian non-constructive and aggressive policy, the conflict had not been solved up to this day.

Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Aranda took a stance on the negotiations process, continued in direction of the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. She reminded that Mexico recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Besides, she noted the importance of peaceful solution of the conflict through the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
