Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Barack Obama

The letter reads:

â€œDear Mr. President!

I sincerely congratulate You on your reelection as President of the US. Your victory in the elections is a real expression of friendly American peopleâ€™s belief and confidence in You and support for Your internal and external policy.

Sincere friendship and mutual useful cooperation in all spheres connect Azerbaijan and the US. Our joint participation in ensuring the energy security in the world, fighting against international terrorism and achieving peace and stability in conflict zones has brought our relations to the level of strategic partnership.

I believe that our strategic partnership with the US, based on mutual interests and common values, will further develop and strengthen and our countries will successfully continue the close cooperation in terms of international security, economic development and democratic reforms.

Azerbaijan hopes the US, as the OSCE Minsk Groupâ€™s co-chairing country, and Your efforts towards the fair settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, lasting more than 20 years, within the international law.

Mr. President, I sincerely congratulate You again and send my best wishes and wish successes in Your activity in favor of the American people.
