Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey sends a note to Australiaâ€™s embassy in Ankara

He said the embassy of Australia stated that their country recognizes on the federal level Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Elman Abdullayev added that not all the statements supporting the principle of peopleâ€™s self-determination mean the violation of a countryâ€™s territorial integrity.
â€œAzerbaijan has stated several times that it supports the principle of peopleâ€™s self-determination, but this must not violate countriesâ€™ territorial integrity,â€ he said.

South Wales state of Australia had adopted a resolution on â€œRecognition of the right of peoples, including Nagorno Karabakh people to self-determinationâ€. The resolution calls on the government of Australia to recognize the so-called â€œNagorno Karabakh Republicâ€ and establish relations with the separatist regime.
