Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament to pay official visit to Malaysia and Indonesia next week

The delegation led by Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov will be on an official to Malaysia visit between November 5 and 8 and Indonesia between November 8 and 11, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Parliament Akif Tavakkuloglu told journalists at the press briefing, APA reports.

He said that the delegation included chairperson of the Human Rights Committee Rabiyyat Aslanova, MPs Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Chingiz Asadullayev, Mirkazim Kazimov, head head of Azerbaijani Parliament’s Apparatus Safa Mirzayev and the other officials: â€œDuring the visit to Malaysia, the delegation will visit the countryâ€™s parliament, be interested in the activity of the legislative structure of Malaysia and observe the parliamentâ€™s plenary meeting. The Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament is expected to meet with the chairmen of the Malaysian Parliamentâ€™s two chambers. The sides will conduct negotiations on the current state and future development prospects of our inter-parliamentary relations and exchange of information. The issues on further deepening our bilateral relations will be discussed at the delegationâ€™s meeting at the Malaysian Prime Ministerâ€™s office.â€

Tavakkuloglu noted that during the visit to Indonesia, the delegation will become familiar with the activity of the countryâ€™s parliament, meet with the chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia and authorities of the Regional Representative Council. The sides will speak about the development directions of relations between the legislative structures: â€œThe Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament is expect to meet with the President and Foreign Minister of Indonesia and they will discuss deepening of our relations in the spheres of economy, culture and humanitarian, the settlement ways of regional conflicts and the other issues.â€
