Trainings on assistance to trafficked persons to be held in Baku

Baku-APA. On November 7-8, the OSCE Office in Baku will organize a training course for government agencies and civil society organizations with a mandate to provide assistance and referral to trafficked persons, APA reports. A group of 15 participants from multidisciplinary agencies will receive information on the main approaches applied in assistance and protection of trafficked persons, the rights of victims, aspects of referral mechanisms and inter-agency co-operation, as well as identification of trafficked persons, rehabilitation and repatriation of trafficked persons and access to justice.

On November 13-15 OSCE Office in Baku will hold training on the investigation of human trafficking. The purpose of this training course is to improve the capacity of specialized Azerbaijani counter-trafficking investigators police investigators and prosecutors to secure viable evidence from trafficking victims that can be used to strengthen efforts to prosecute traffickers.
