Azerbaijani Foreign Minister receives newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov received newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan and UNDP Resident Representative Antonius Bernardus Broek. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that Minister Elmar Mammadyarov congratulated Antonius Bernardus Broek on appointment as new UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan and UNDP Resident Representative and expressed his confidence that his activity will make contribution to further development of the cooperation between the Azerbaijan and the UN institutions.

Mammadyarov gave information about Azerbaijan’s policy of assistance to the international development and noted the establishment of the special state agency â€“ Azerbaijan Agency of Assistance for International Development with the view of coordinating the assistance policy of the country.

Antonius Bernardus Broek presented the copy of his credentials on appointment as new UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan and UNDP Resident Representative to Minister Elmar Mammadayrov.

The sides exchanged views on various projects on the extension of the cooperation between the Azerbaijan and the UN institutions.
