Azerbaijani Government donates 3 bells to ConcepciÃ³n De MarÃa SantÃsima church of Mexico â€“ <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku â€“ APA. Today, an official presentation ceremony held in Mexico city in connection with launching of 3 church bells donated by the government of Azerbaijan to ConcepciÃ³n De MarÃa SantÃsima church situated near Khojaly genocide monument in Tlaxiaco-Khojaly Square, Azerbaijani embassy in Mexico told APA. According to information, the event was attended by Azerbaijani ambassador to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov and other officials of the embassy, Cardinal Archbishop of Mexico City Norberto Rivera Carrera and the church community, friends of the embassy, members of Azerbaijani community living in Mexico, representatives of local and foreign mass media.

Delivering keynote speech at the event, Head of the church Eduardo Lozano said that reconstruction of Tlaxiaco-Khojaly Square by the support of Azerbaijani government, donation of church bells and Khojaly genocide monument erected in the Square was the sign of God of peace and love.

Ambassador I.Mukhtarov welcomed officials of the Mexican church and participants. He spoke about Azerbaijani traditions of tolerance developed over the centuries: â€˜In Azerbaijan, both the government and the citizens respect all the religionsâ€.

The ambassador noted that one of the church bells donated by the Azerbaijani government to the church would honor the memory of victims of Khojaly genocide.

Thereafter, Cardinal Archbishop of Mexico City Norberto Rivera Carrera spoke about Azerbaijan and unusual tolerance in our country. He said that in line with Moslems, Christians and Jews have also equal rights and freedom in Azerbaijan.

Note that, at the end of the ceremony, during the grand opening of the church calls, members of the Armenian community conducted traditional subversive actions directed to violation of the event. They tried to attract interest of participants and media representatives by declaring that â€˜Khojaly incidents were not genocideâ€™, â€˜writing on the monument is not trueâ€™. But this sabotage caused unequivocal and strong disagreement by Mexican citizens and friends of the embassy, those persons were dismissed from the place by city residents.
