Chairman of Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France: â€œAzerbaijan’s activity in the sphere of religious tolerance is a positive example for world countriesâ€

Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that after greeting the guests, deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov expressed his satisfaction with current level of the relations between Azerbaijan and France.

Touching on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, Khalaf Khalafov said that non-settlement of the conflict was an obstacle for further development of Azerbaijan and whole region. In connection with this, he underlined the necessity of increasing international communityâ€™s impact on invader Armenia and settlement of the conflict in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council and within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Richard Prasquier thanked for sincere reception and expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan. He underlined that the activity and contribution of Azerbaijan in spheres of religious tolerance and dialogue were positive example for world countries. The guest also noted that there were many opportunities to expand Azerbaijanâ€™s relations with France. He thanked for the condition established for Jewish community in Azerbaijan and highly praised the steps taken by Baku to bring closer civilizations and religions at international level.
