Commenting on Azerbaijan-related statement issued by Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian while visiting Mexico, the spokesman noted that everyone knew that Armenia had no prospects for development: “Today, Armenia is continuing its destructive position through the funds allocated by the Armenian Diaspora. With this policy Armenia damages the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. We want to remind Nalbandian that the government, which he represents, came to power through the bloodshed of the people. As long as the representative of such a country will speak about human rights and it will be regarded as disrespect to the international human rights. It is as if Serzh Sargsyan has instructed Nalbandian to impede the foreign policy of Azerbaijan. The Armenian government fully depending on Armenian Diaspora is functioning under nationalist slogans.”

Abdullayev said that the Khojaly memorial and the monument of Heydar Aliyev erected in Mexico was a symbol of the friendship between Azerbaijan and Mexico: “Heydar Aliyev established the relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico in 1982. His monument was erected in the Azerbaijan-Mexico Park.”
