Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi is on a visit to Azerbaijan. APA reports quoting IRIB that the aim of the visit is to attend the meeting of the Ministers’ Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states.
During the meeting, Salehi will hold several meetings with the officials of Azerbaijan and other countries. The Iranian FM told journalists at Heydar Aliyev International Airport that the regional position of ECO should be further strengthened. Salehi thanked Azerbaijan for hosting the meeting and underlined the importance of speedy implementation of previous ECO decisions and the development of cooperation among the member states.
