GUAM Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council adopts Declaration

Baku. Anakhanum Hidoyatova â€“ APA. An extraordinary meeting dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the GUAM Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council was held in Kiev yesterday. APA reports that Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalaganiya, Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie LeancÄƒ, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishenko and GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili participated in the meeting.

The Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council discussed the issues of development of the organization. The participants stressed GUAMâ€™s important role in the development of regional activity. GUAM partners, U.S. and Japanese ambassadors, as well as the head of the mission of the European Commission in Ukraine also participated in the meeting. The Declaration was adopted at the end of the event. The meeting was followed by GUAM music culture night. The representatives of diplomatic corpus accredited in Ukraine, Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the representatives of other ministries were invited to the event.
