The opening ceremony of the Heydar Aliyev’s monument was held in the Azerbaijani-Mexican Friendship Park in Mexico on August 22, said Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev, APA reports. According to him, the opening ceremony of the monument in memory of the victims of Khojaly genocide was held yesterday.
The Kholajy monument was erected after reconstruction of Tlakskoake square and the park was renamed Tlakskoake-Khojaly.
The Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov, Major of Mexico city Marcelo Ebrard, senators and deputies participated in the opening ceremony.
