Azerbaijani and Chilean foreign ministries hold consultations

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that Ambassador Aliyev met with Deputy Foreign Minister Fernando Schmidt within his visit. The sides exchanged views on the existing potential and further prospects of the development of Azerbaijan-Chile relations in various spheres. The sides assessed the accreditation of Azerbaijani ambassador in Buenos Aries by Chile and the accreditation of Chileâ€™s embassy in Ankara by Azerbaijan as the positive beginning.

Besides it, the sides expressed the importance of mutual high-level visits in the cooperation development between the states, the widening of agreement-law base, the realization of mutual cooperation within international organizations, also exchanged views on the development in economic-trade, humanitarian and cultural spheres.

Then political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Chile were held together with the General Director of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile Adolfo Garafi and General Director of Bilateral Affairs Rodrigo Gaette. The issues on development of bilateral relations between the states, the cooperation within international organizations, regional problems, including the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict were discussed during the consultations.
