Baku - APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, being on a visit to UK, met with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland David Cameron. APA reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by PM David Cameron. President of Azerbaijan and UK Prime Minister took official photos.
The current high-level situation of Azerbaijan-UK relation was stressed during the meeting. It was also mentioned that Azerbaijan cooperates with the United Kingdom in different spheres, including energy, there is successful cooperation in non-oil sphere between the countries and the prospects of these relations are very high.
The Azerbaijan’s support of NATO and international coalition in Afghanistan was highly assessed during the discussions on Azerbaijan-UK cooperation in international security sphere.
The sides exchanges views on regional and international issues during the meeting.
