Azerbaijani President receives Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Jan Kubisch

APA reports that Kubisch said that he had visited Azerbaijan before when he worked as Slovakian Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Council of Europe and witnesses great changes in the country.

He highly assessed Azerbaijanâ€™s energy policy and regional transport projects and thanked President Aliyev on behalf of the UN leadership for execution of project on Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway Project. He underlined that the UN established international centers in our country.

In his turn the Head of State said that Azerbaijan has shown itself as a reliable partner in the realization of energy and regional transport projects.

President underlined the rapid development of IT sector I Azerbaijan and highly assessed the role of this sphere in the future development of Azerbaijanâ€™s economy. He noted the significance of various projects realized by the UN.
