Deputy Minister reminded that Azerbaijan is a transit country: “If there is any project on Caspian basin and projects coming from our partners for Caspian Sea, we are open for cooperation and are ready to present our wide opportunities for these projects. I think that the Caspian littoral states have sovereign right to realize energy and transport-communication projects on the seaâ€.
The European Union announced its intention to start negotiations with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on Trans-Caspian pile project. In its turn, Russia announced that it was against of this projects quoting to unsettlement of legal status of the Caspian Sea.
