Spokesman for Iranâ€™s Foreign Ministry comments on reports concerning location of militant anti-government group in Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. Spokesman for Iranâ€™s Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast commented on the Iranian media reports that the militant anti-government group (The People’s Mujahedin of Iran) is located in Azerbaijan. Press service of Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan told APA that Ramin Mehmanparast said at the press conference that there was no official information about the location of the group in Azerbaijan.
â€œSome media outlets spread these reports aiming to cast shadow on Iranâ€™s good relations with its neighbors. No doubt the neighboring states will take into consideration the bilateral relations and the security of our country. No state will want to take a step that will pose threat to the security of the neighboring state. Otherwise, it will damage the security of both sides,â€ he said.

Fars news agency of Iran reported that the militant anti-government group is located near Gandja city of Azerbaijan.
