Baku – APA. Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan made comments on reports about the Iran’s involvement in attempt on the life of Azerbaijani writer Rafig Tagi, press service of the Iranian embassy told APA. The statement reads: “We deny groundless and wrong claims by some persons and media organizations about the involvement of the Islamic Republic of Iran in attempt on the life of Rafig Tagi. These actions aim to create negative atmosphere and to damage strategic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan. We consider these actions as Zionist-American sabotage and empty and defeated stepâ€.
Rafig Tagi was knifed on November 19 in a bus station on Khatai Avenue in Baku. He was hospitalized and underwent surgery.
