Bulgarian President pays two-day visit to Azerbaijan

Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov arrived in Azerbaijan on Monday for a two-day official visit. According to APA, Parvanov visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The two presidents will discuss bilateral energy cooperation, including Azerbaijan’s gas supplies of 1 billion cubic meters to Bulgaria. They will exchange opinions also about regional and international matters and initiatives of common interest. In their presence bilateral social policy and classified information documents will be signed. The two foreign ministries will ink an agreement, too. Bulgaria’s University of National and World Economy and Azerbaijan State Economic University will sign a cooperation agreement as well. Georgi Parvanov will present his Azerbaijani counterpart with Bulgaria’s highest state award for his contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation.

The Bulgarian President will confer also with Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov and Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh.

The Bulgarian delegation is comprised of Economy and Energy Minister Traycho Traykov, Social Policy Minister Totyu Mladenov and Deputy Foreign Minister Konstantin Dimitrov. Georgi Parvanov will be accompanied also by a business delegation.
